Values that only exist on a wall plaque aren't values — they're decoration. At New Hope, these four commitments shape how we preach, how we lead, and how we treat the people who walk through our doors.
Faith
Faith is the starting point, not a feeling we chase. From Bishop Leaphart-Mack's decision to launch a church out of a living room in 2001 to paying off two properties without shortcuts, New Hope has always moved on conviction before it had proof. We teach members to build real faith — the kind that acts on the Word before circumstances change — and we expect that faith to show up in decisions, not just in worship.
Community
Nobody grows alone. New Hope is structured around more than 25 ministries and small groups so every member has a place to belong, serve, and be known by name — not just a seat to fill on Sunday. From New Members Services to Daughters of New Hope, community here is built by design, not left to chance.
Compassion
Compassion at New Hope shows up in action, not sentiment. It's in the Grief Ministry that walks families through loss, in the pastoral care Bishop Leaphart-Mack extends as Senior Chaplain of the Stockbridge Police Department, and in the town halls we've hosted on our own football field to serve Henry County beyond our membership rolls. We don't just feel for people — we show up for them.
Discipleship
Salvation starts a relationship; discipleship builds it. Through Sunday's Connections Class, Wednesday Midweek Bible Study, and a 6:00 AM weekday Morning Prayer Call, New Hope trains believers to know Scripture and live it out with conviction. We measure discipleship by changed lives, not attendance numbers.
