Salvation happens in the heart. Baptism happens out loud, in front of everybody. It's the moment your private decision to follow Christ becomes a public declaration — a statement to your family, your friends, and this entire house that you belong to Him now, and the old life is finished.

Scripture is clear about what this moment pictures: going under the water is a burial of the old self, and coming up out of it is a resurrection into new life. It's not a ceremony that saves you — it's obedience that follows salvation, a step every believer is called to take. At New Hope, baptism is one of the most electric moments in the life of this church. The room erupts. Family cheers. Strangers become witnesses to somebody's turning point.
